Maintenance

For optimal longevity, we recommend cleaning your furniture regularly. Clean the furniture thoroughly and then re-seal it once a year with the special Sunbrella spray, available from your dealer.

With modular configurations, it’s important to always place the modules at least 1 cm apart. This allows rainwater to drain properly and prevents residue from forming on the sides. Also, don’t place the furniture directly against a wall, fence, or partition – this promotes drainage and helps the furniture dry faster. Never turn the furniture upside down in the rain, as this will cause water to pool in the benches.

If a stain appears, remove it immediately before it can penetrate the fabric. Vacuum or blot the dirt, or wipe it with a clean, damp cloth. First, blot moisture stains dry with a paper towel or a clean cloth, then rinse with clean water and dry with a dry cloth. Most stains disappear with warm water; for stubborn stains, you can use Sunbrella cleaner.

Spray the cleaner onto the stain, let it sit for 30 seconds, and remove it with warm water and a soft, clean sponge. Always rinse thoroughly with water to remove any soap residue. Note: Sunscreens and oils are difficult, if not impossible, to remove. When using sunscreen, it’s best to place a towel on the furniture.

For a longer lifespan, we recommend using protective covers. Remove the covers regularly, weather permitting, and let the furniture air out for about 30 minutes, even during the winter when not in use.

Our decorative cushions can withstand a rain shower, but we recommend bringing them inside during bad weather.

We recommend cleaning and impregnating stainless steel parts before the winter with a suitable stainless steel cleaner/impregnating agent. This prevents dirt from accumulating in moving parts and protects the material’s surface. The correct maintenance product is available from your Life-style Furniture dealer or through our sales office in Druten.
